Point Agenda No. 5 145 000
Provisions relating to rules of transparency demanded by Lorraine to its banking and financial partners, particularly with regard their activities in tax havens.
Lorraine Regional Council - National Front Party. Plenary
27 and January 28, 2011 - Point Agenda No. 5.
Mr. President, Dear Colleagues
We will of course vote for the fifth point.
It is obvious that this is a good measure. As a customer of the banks, the Regional Council is entitled to know how do they make money.
In this context, it is futile to ask the relation they have with tax havens.
You quote the non-cooperative states listed is provided by the government. This concerns the risk of financial crime.
Very good, but there are also many States which, without being complacent about crime have nevertheless questionable fiscal policies, which ruin the efforts of ambitious republic.
I do not want to offend anyone, but there are a few miles away one of its tax havens that captures some of the resources that we could more effectively to serve our community.
Who should we blame?
selfishness of the rich who put their money in safety in air-tight to tax?
Or the hypocrisy of these principalities which are dumping tax became the main source of their exorbitant wealth?
But now back to the heart of your project. It certainly shows an awareness. Unfortunately, this awareness is our helplessness!
What I mean by being projected as a demanding customer, the Regional Council abdicated its sovereignty of public power, in favor of a blackmail good practice, which will weigh little against multinationals which it is addressed. But mostly, he admits his subjection to the power of money.
You do, however, are not directly responsible, it is the European regulations, incorporated under French law which prohibits the government today to select the providers they feel are more consistent with their policies.
This is in itself a scandal. It is the people's sovereignty is violated. It is absolutely unacceptable to us is now forbidden to choose the body that have our preferences.
Indeed, it might well happen that we wanted to help a bank, for example because of its structure capital, make special efforts to assist SMEs to invest. Or to help employees of a company in bankruptcy to create a SCOP. Or to fund the social economy.
is a goal of a coherent political point of view, this is something that responds to the idea we have of public action.
That also certainly expect from us Lorraine.
Yet we can not do. We are condemned to get at the villains of finance, multinationals to the fraud.
This is an abandonment of sovereignty scandal, due entirely to the responsibility of the supporters of European integration. It shows the limits of your goodwill, and the hypocrisy of the approach you asking us to approve today. Thank you
