Goodbyes With Animals That Rhyme

NOTHING TO DECLARE Dany Boon (2010)

1 January 1993: Passage to Europe. Two customs, one Belgian and one French, learn the speedy disappearance of their little customs post set located in the town of Courquain Koorkin France and Belgium. Francophobic from father to son and Belgian customs overzealous, Ruben Vandervoorde is compelled and forced to open the first joint Flying Squad Franco-Belgian. French partner will Ducatel Mathias, customs and neighboring enemy, who surprised everyone by agreeing to become the teammate Vandervoorde with him and ride the country roads border aboard a 4L interception Customs international.

I expected nothing from this movie. Well, I got nothing ... It was even worse because rather painful to follow ... I think there's nothing more horrible than watching a movie and that this supposed comedy does not make us laugh. Certainly, there are some amusing moments, but they happened to be in the trailer. Suddenly, again in the film caused a meager smile having already "enjoyed" these moments on numerous occasions through the hype of the trailer at the cinema for months.

I think that NOTHING TO DECLARE is even worse than the previous work as director Boon. If his WELCOME TO THE CH'TITS was still a bit sympathetic to follow his new film clearly did not have much to offer its audience if it's a comedy routine to the comedy springs and well folded archi- Lourens. Finesse, the director does not seem to know this word and its feature film that is rather funny stuffing. We play on two tables: aggression with Poelvoorde character and an emotional chord with Boon who gives himself the airs of a nice big heart. The plot diagram of their relationships with large reinforcements expected sequences (the collaboration between the two men, the love relationship that does not work, lunch with parents) and is filling with its subplot of smugglers who do not ultimately serves to much if not to do anything to make people laugh. It is even amazing how bad it is: the tuning of the car, the gag of drug packets in the ass ... It wants funny, it makes a ton. I found it absolutely appalling, especially more when it adds a layer by highlighting its effects by passing the slow song " I Believe I Can Fly " above it all! HELP! Who knows, could be that it works on truckers? ...

Moreover, with the main plot and conflict France / Belgium, the whole is rather repetitive and pointless to follow because he always plays the same mode and not changing almost no ... It's like a series of skits that follow and are very similar. If at first you smile a little on the length it does not add much except a character full of naivety when it greatly reduces the problem of racism among people. In the end, Boon even tries to do in light of the way, leaking issues arising from its history as it is still funny in a comedy and not looking at something completely serious. It crashes completely. NOTHING TO DECLARE , what! ...
